Smoothstep bordered circle within "dent" base (from palette)

I’m trying to modify this palette object’s smoothstep function to be a bordered circle instead of perpendicular lines.

This post on stackoverflow I believe has the answer to constructing the shape.

I’m not sure how to integrate it into the TD setup. If anyone more skilled with GLSL than I am has advice, I would appreciate it.

could you illustrate your request with a few images? I’m not sure what you would like the output of the Palette’s dent component to look like.
