(Solved) Adding wave chop to another wave chop

Hey there, relatively new to TD and i have a question about the wave chop or chops in general

i want to make a stair-like pattern with a sqaure wave to skip certain values when modulating a parameter, for example: value goes from 0 to 1, then skips 1-1.5 and continues from 1.5 to 2 I want to do this with two ranges of values though. my idea was to combine the lengths of two wave chops, but i can’t figure out how to do that. in the picture i have two wave chops, the first from 1-4 in height and 1-601 in length, the second from 4-8 height and 601-1201 length. Anybody know how to combine those so that they put out a wave that goes from 1-8 H and 1-1201 L? maybe it’s really easy, but i can’t find anything on the internet and can’t figure out how to do it with math or merge chop.

Hi there,

Check out the patternCHOP. There is an option ‘ramp samples’ that increases 1 value per sample. If you make the amplitude smaller and set the ‘integer’ parameter to floor, you’ll getting a staircase. To answer your question with your approach, check out joinCHOP to ‘join’ 2 chops together.
Hope this helps.

Cheers,
tim

omg how did i not see that. same with the join chop, literally saw it a minute after posting the question

thank you though
