Solved - Local Address parameter @ NDI Out TOP

Hi!
I was wondering if it’s possible to add a “Local Address” parameter to the NDI Out top.

As it turns out, the NDI signal only gets picked up if we disable all other network adapters. Then make the connection and enable the other adapters again. This resulted in quite some stressful sitatuions during live performances. (having connected lasers/lights/screen output to TD)

We could be wrong ,but our line of thought was that the NDI outputs on a different network adapter to broadcast the signal. (We use multiple ip’s with different ranges to connect to artnet/resolume etc)

Cheers

Roy

Hello,

The problem is NDI. The solution is too

NDI uses a mDNS to provide a zero configuration model. It automatically tries to find the best routing to get where it needs to go. If you want to manage this better, the best thing to do would be to look at some of the stuff here:

@flowb Thanks so much!, that was it.

For people finding this post and looking for a simple solution : inside ndi tools / access manager / advance you have the option to select an prefered network adapter.
