SOLVED: TouchDesigner Install Crash - Windows 10 Pro 64bit

I downloaded the lastest TouchDesigner install, TouchDesigner.2022.29850, but during the install process after it asks to overwrite the previous install this error pops up.
“Runtime error (at 23:818):
SWbemObjectSet: Invalid class”

I tried to generate a log file but receive an error that it cant open or find the log file.

I uninstalled touchdesigner using the windows add/remove programs tool. I haven’t tried doing a clean install yet to try and avoid having to reset the license.

Looking for next steps. Thanks!

Never mind, I was able to resolve with this thread:

This also worked for me on a Win10 Enterprise Dell E6540 laptop - but to clarify: the instructions you referenced say to rename C:\Windows\System32\wbem\repository\ and not C:\Windows\System32\wbem\ I renamed \repository\ and it worked. Thanks for your post! I lost a box 16 hours before an exhibit was to open, due to this error - which for me was caused by the accidental Win10 update(s) KB5004331 or 5011543 or ServicingStack 10.0.19041.1704 (they all updated together and won’t uninstall).
