Stoner to displace TOP?

Hey,

is it possible to somehow transfer the warping of a stoner into a texture, so that I can use it in a displace TOP to apply the actual warping (and get rid of the stoner COMP)?

And I wonder how does the saving feature of the stoner work, how to load a saved setting, …?

Buy the way, the stoner currently does not output an image of the same resolution as the input image.

Hey Achim,

I just fixed the resolution problem.

Hitting the save button will give you a little render network with the deformed geometry of your screen. Loading settings is not intended by this component.

Outputting it as a displacement map sounds certainly possible, I’ll check into the math for that.

thanks markus, that might be a nice feature for the stoner.

The Displace TOP doesn’t anti-alias pixels like rendering a polygon mesh does (Stoner does the latter), so until the Displace TOP does, it may produce unacceptable-quality images.
