Here’s some thoughts on speeding up work flow by utilizing some techniques for adding multiple operators at once, and placing them inside/outside each other through drag and drop:
A) hit the tab button to get the “add operator” panel
b) select each operator you want by clicking on it,
and a number appears over the icon corresponding to how many times you clicked on it
c) hit the “create operators” button in the “add operator” panel.
Or, better still, just hit “enter” on your keyboard when the cursor is over the panel.
d) all the operators you clicked on are added at once.
e) to place the operators you want inside each other operator, simply drag and drop in the network editor.
example of work flow:
-
you want “2 geometry comps”, “1 container comp”, “2 sphere sops”
-
tab →
click on the geometry comp twice,
the container comp once,
and sphere sop twice,
and click the “create operators” button or hit “enter” on your keyboard. -
The operators are all created.
-
Drag and drop each sphere on top of each geometry comp icon, now there is one sphere inside of each geometry comp.
-
Drag and drop the the two geometry comp onto the container comp, and now their both inside the container.
This drag and drop technique could also work to move operators up levels as well.
The way it could be done is with the “in” and “out” ops.
This would also be pretty sweet for that other software that I love too,
but the name of it “escapes” me
your thoughts?
