I think it would be easier for beginners if Touch’s default conversion behaviors were consistent and reversible…
for example, if I feed a TOP into TOPtoCHOP then back to CHOPtoTOP, I should end up with exactly what I had in the first place without having to shuffle or sequence etc.
I’m not sure I agree - I’ve never done a TOP to CHOP immediately followed by a CHOP to TOP and I’m not sure it’s that worthwhile to make them match. I think the defaults of each should be the most common and understandable defaults for each specific conversion type (e.g. TOP to CHOP) alone. Whether we do that is up for debate.
