I’m new to here, so hello !
I’m wondering if anyone has some tips on configuring a workstation running windows 7 for running 7/12h, ie disabling all the annoying pop-ups, updates, maintenance, sleep options, etc… I come from OS x and it’s been a while since Windows 2000 days.
Also any tips on scheduling maintenance scripts / De-frag if necessary on SSD ?

I’d look into ‘presentation mode’ settings in windows 7. Also, no SSDs don’t need to be defragged. It’s actually bad for them since it wears them down. Windows 7 will by default know not to defrag them in it’s automatic defrag tasks.

I remember there being an article by Presonus online about how to setup your computer for optimal audio recording, and I would skip all the video related pieces of it, but there is a ton of stuff about how to turn off warnings, messages, etc etc.
Might be a good place to start.
