Can I keep running the program when this happens or will it shut down the computer? I guess running touch designer is best on pc?
Mac is certainly a different experience for working with TD. While typically PC hardware can run TD with more ease, you can also do a few things to ease the strain on a Mac.
Here’s a few:
- Set TOPs to a lower resolution while working on the Mac, and render on a more powerful machine later
- Turn off your viewer flag (the little target symbol in the top left of the node) when you aren’t using that specific node
- Make sure you’re not running other programs that might be taxing your machine unless absolutely necessary
- SAVE! Always save your work as you go. There’s also an auto save tox file someone made, you could look that up and use it if you want (though it is another thing that may eat into your computational power)
