Working on a permanent installation with daily automatic start-up and shutdown, how can I implement this process with TD? Can a file be set to open/close on a certain time?
I use a program called ‘Always Up’.
Pretty sure you could also write a simple VB script

Sorry, long day 
I use really simple .bat files with the path to the project file in them, and then drop them in the windows startup folder.
