TDAbleton only giving velocity not note value

Anyone have experience controlling TD with Ableton Live? I’m trying to control a Pattern CHOP’s seed parameter with MIDI Notes from Ableton. Ableton MIDI operator outputs velocity and notes but when I chop reference to Pattern CHOP, only the velocity values of a single midi note (MIDI note 52) output. How can I get it to output the MIDI note’s note value rather than its velocity? I have Ableton MIDI —> Select —> Math (convert range from 1-127 to 0-10) —> Null. Dragged null to Seed parameter as CHOP reference.

In your Select CHOP you can configure which channels to select - for instance for your case only one or more note channels.

See this very short video on different ways how you can configure the Select CHOP to get the exact data you want

Also see examples in Help→operator snippets → Select CHOP

Then if you want to use one of those CHOP channels to control a single Int parameter (in your case the Seed parameter of Pattern CHOP) you can either drag one CHOP channel to that Seed par, or first combine multiple CHOP channels into one channel - this can be done in whatever math/logic you prefer - for instance see the Fan CHOP example in second half of the video above - or see many other possibilities in Operator Snippets for CHOP nodes.

Also see this short video lesson on how to see& change which channel of your CHOP is currently driving your Seed parameter.

Does this help you further?
