Hi there!
I have a table with a lot of text paragraphs. I’m using them with TextTOP but the text hyphenates incorrectly. Is there a way to add the italian dictionary to the break languages? or other ways to hyphenate texts correctly?
I assume you’re referring to how the lines break when you have word wrap enabled in the Text TOP? Unfortunately, the characters where it is allowed to split the word are hardcoded and cannot be changed dynamically.
Would you be able to explain how you would expect it to work for italian?
Depending on how you are using them, you may also be able to use the Text COMP, it has a different word wrapping system that might potentially work better for you.
Hi @robmc, thanks for your answer.
You got the point, I’d like to avoid splitting words so that each line ends correctly.
At the moment words are splitted in a random way and this is not correct grammatically.
I’ll have a look at Text COMP, even if I was thinkink about using TextTOP cause I’m taking dinamically these text from a tableDAT.
I’m still a little surprised by your description that it is splitting in “random ways”. The Text TOP is using an older library for line breaks that is based on Unicode standards and even if it doesn’t support Italian specifically I would expect it to be better than you describe.
