I want to move an object across the screen following the playback of a sound. Basically, if playback is a the beginning of the sound I want the object to be to the left, if playback is in the middle of the song, I want the object to be in the middle of the screen and if playback is at the end of the song, the object should be at the right of the screen.
This is easily done using the Info CHOP’s fraction channel and works fine in editing mode.
However, in perform mode, the object never starts all the way to the left. It is as though playback starts while the application is loading and when the perform window finally appears, playback is already several seconds in.
Is that the normal behaviour?
I put together an example that showcases the issue. If you start the project, you will notice that the green ball is not at the far left when the project starts. If I switch playback mode to “sequential” (instead of “Locked to timeline”), the problem disappears…
