I am looking to do some eye tracking work for an upcoming installation and read that the tobii eye tracker 5 is compatible with TD.
Does anyone happen to know what kind of data TD reads from the device and is it in the simple CHOP format or is additional coding required? Just wanted to know before I purchase!

Can you point out where you read that? We currently do not have any Tobii eye tracking integration. Last time we looked into it, the main issue is their licensing requirement states that you can’t use their SDK to create something where the raw data can be transferred to other applications. Obviously with TD and CHOPs, it’s impossible to stop someone from taking a Tobii CHOPs’ data and sending it out over OSC Out CHOP.
Maybe this has changed, but I don’t have access to their latest license agreement to check.

Thank you for your response. In all fairness it is not at all a reliable source just the “ai overview” search here, hence why I took to the forum to see if anyone had done it!
I suppose I should’ve just asked if anyone knows what kind of raw CHOP data one could hypothetically get out of the device?
