TD v.2023.12120: Windows 11, Intel 14900k, RTX 4090
I noticed an odd glitch when working on a project recently. The .toe file has less kb than the .#.toe file, and when I open the two files the .toe version is missing data in my network.

Even when doing Ctrl+Shift+S “Save As…” a new version, the problem still persists. Very odd!
Has anyone else experienced this? Assuming a copy paste into a new file would be a good call, since I had had a couple crashes in the past. It is doubly weird because I never opened the CrashAutoSave files.
would you be able to share the file so we can have a look? If not publicly here, you can also send a link to support@derivative.ca referencing this forum post.
This should not be happening if the preference for Create Link Filename when Saving is enabled and you are not saving with “Save As…”
| Create Link Filename when Saving - Creates a file that with no number increment that is the same as the most recent file saved. This makes it easy to open the most recent file.
Hey Ethan, from the screenshots it looks like you’re working directly off a google drive folder. It’s possible the google drive sync is actually what’s messing things up, especially if it’s a shared folder that other people might be working in. I’ve even had funky stuff happen in the past between machines only I’m using at completely different times. Try just working off a local folder that isn’t setup with google drive for a bit and see if that helps.
Have exactly the same problem on all the machines and servers we have TouchDesigner, but it began only quite recently. There was new Google Drive update recently. Now, only local copies identical in filesize. The Drive link copies are always corrupted.

Very strange and it’s messing with permanent installation setup to always point to the latest version. Guess it will be local since now on
