Touch is in an infinite load when opening it up

Hello, Guys.
I have been using Touch on another PC with no problem but on my PC, when i try to open it up it keeps being in an infinite load, as a result I can’t open it up. any way to solve this problem?
In addition, the updates and sys.tox stay the same with those numbers

I have already done the following things

  1. Open it on a previous version
  2. Update the latest graphic driver

Hi @rlawoals260

As a first step, make sure that all your drivers, including integrated graphic drivers, are up to date and that your machine is free of bloatware.

The Bulk Crap Uninstaller helps in identifying unwanted or unneeded software: https://www.bcuninstaller.com/

Find the latest driver for your GPU at Official Drivers | NVIDIA
or use Nvidia Geforce Experience Update Drivers & Optimal Playable Settings

You can also make sure that your integrated GPU is running on the latest version available via Intel Driver Assistant.

You can use the AMD Adrenalin if you have an AMD Integrated GPU, in minimal install mode, via https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/software

:zap::zap::zap: If your machine comes with a proprietary power management software (From Asus, Dell / Alienware… etc), make sure that it’s setup properly to run TouchDesigner on the Nvidia / AMD DEDICATED GPU when plugged to power. Otherwise, it’s likely that TouchDesigner would run on the integrated graphics, hence it is important to also make sure your integrated graphics are up to date.

Hello @JetXS

Thanks for your help. However, none of the things you mentioned did fix this problem unfortunately.
My graphic driver is the one below. I’m assuming there’s something to do with it like it can’t be integrated
zcx
with Touch somehow

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling TouchDesigner ?

What installer did you pick ? The full installer or the web installer ?

Best,
Michel

Hello, @JetXS.

I have done it several times with the full installer and installed previous versions as well but any of those didn’t work out.

I’ll try to install the web later because i haven’t done the method yet.

@JetXS

I have just fully uninstalled Touch and re-installed it using the web installer. It’s the same.

I mean it’s really stressing me out at the minute because if my graphic card is the problem as in like it’s old or not able to be integrated with the tool, then I will go and buy a new one but in this situation where things are not sure, it’s a big risk to take.

If anyone else had experiences like me or similar case and fixed your problem, would you be able to share the way you fix it?.. It would be a massive help.

This is the GPU model. But what GPU driver version are your running?

Hello, @nettoyeur.

I have got NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER.

The Driver version is: 32.0. 15.5599 which I found the latest version.
zcx

I’m pretty sure the 1660 is not an issue but I’ll see if we can find one to test with internally.

It’s not a laptop right ?

What kind of machine is that ? prebuilt ? Dell or other vendor ?

This issue still seem like it could originate from bloatware to me.

Perhaps you can try to do the following at startup and see where it gets stuck and share the dmp file with us: Using WinDbg to Debug Crashes - Derivative
