If you want to remotely control a PC with TouchDesigner with Remote Desktop, you know it wont start just because the virtual video card of the RD emulator.
If TD is already started you will have no problem.
So the solution, as said on the TD Help Group on Facebook from Jan-paul Vd Weerd, is to close Remote Desktop, start TD and reconnect.
To do this just use this procedure:
- Create a bat file on the desktop with this content:
for /f “skip=1 tokens=3” %%s in (‘query user %USERNAME%’) do (
%windir%\System32\tscon.exe %%s /dest:console
cd “C:\Program Files\Derivative\TouchDesigner099\bin”
Once you connect on the remote computer run the bat file like administrator
it will close the RD connection and start TD
wait less than a minute and reconnect, you will find TD opened
Hope it will be helpful!
