Touchdesigner crashing after Sequoia 15.4.1 update

Hello, after I updated my macOS to Sequoia 15.4.1, while it was working fine before that. TouchDesigner is crashing on launch due to a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV)

The crash happens right in the main thread during app startup—before it even draws the UI or loads user preferences. There seems to be a memory access error —something in the app is referencing an invalid or uninitialized memory address.

I bought Touchdesigner commercial in 2024.

Please help, as I am on a deadline and need to use Touchdesigner ASAP. :frowning:

Hi @kirrieswensii,

can you let us know what TouchDesigner version you are using and what your hardware is?

cheers
Markus

Definitely!

Here is some info:

Touchdesigner version:
I bought it in March 2024, so I am assuming 2024 version, commercial license.

Hardware:
MacBook Pro, 16 inch, 2019
Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
Memory: 16 GB 2667 Mhz DDR4
macOS: Sequoia 15.4.1

Before the update it was working just fine, so wondering if this update has to do with it.

Thanks for quick response!

Hi @kirrieswensii,

can you try updating TouchDesigner to the latest available build 2023.12230. You can download the release from here: Download | Derivative

Hi there,

It seems to be working again. It just needed a update again. Will check-in from time to time for new updates.

Thank you for the quick response and thinking along.

Best,
Kirsten.
