Touchdesigner has started to crash at startup.

Hello!
Touchdesigner has stopped working all of a sudden. I don’t remember changing anything in configuration. It crashes with a windows dialog telling me that there is some issue with a signature “APPCRASH” in a “touchdesigner088.exe” in module MSVCR100.dll

What should I do? Thank you in advance!

Any chance to get some help with this?..

I would try a few things.

  • update graphics drivers
  • uninstall and reinstall TouchDesigner
  • Unplug all other devices when starting TouchDesigner

When it crashes, does it create a .dmp file? If so, please send it to us.

What build are you using?

I’m running TD on my retina macbook with Win7 x64. I’ve tried at least 4 different builds, 32bit and 64bit versions, I’ve reinstalled it multiple times. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is reinstalling video drivers. I’ll do it and then post again.

I’ve reinstalled graphic drivers with no luck. Also, there’s no .dmp file. It doesn’t even show splash screen.

I guess the only option I have is to reinstall windows :frowning:.

Did you get the graphics driver from nvidia?

Initially I’ve got it from bootcamp, when I’ve reinstalled it it was from NVidia. Now I’ve reinstalled Windows and it’s all fine.

Ya, not sure what’s wrong with the Bootcamp ones, basically every Mac user goes through that! Seems to be best to try to get drivers from nvidia.
