Could any TouchEngine experts summarize the advantages of using TouchEngine over Spout for sharing between TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine?
In a quick test it seemed to me there is a little more latency with TouchEngine for straight video sharing, however it does offer the advantage of uncompressed video which might be useful for things like particles etc.

I just wanted to reopen this thread which I hope is alright! I’ve got a few questions regarding TouchEngine for UE5.
Are there any updated thoughts on which is faster (Spout vs TouchEngine) after a few years have past?
I have been using OWL Spout plug-in but am hoping to get better optimization.
Does TouchEngine have advantages because you can Syncronize the cooking with UnrealEngine?
Are there any solutions for TouchDesigner that use Unreal’s GPU TextureShare feature? Will this be faster than current TouchEngine / Spout workflows?
My situation is that I’m rendering a few different CineCamera’s at once and trying to get the output into TouchDesigner for mapping
