touchkey.exe keeps crashing

Hi!

I’ve been trying to install TouchDesigner, but after the installation is done and it opens for the first time, TouchKey.exe (the key manager window) immediately crashes. Every time I have tried to open the program after that, it immediately crashes again - I can’t even click on anything in the window without it turning white and Not Responding showing up in the title.

Any clues what’s wrong? A friend has a computer with the exact same specs and had no problems. I’m running Windows 7, 32 GB Ram, NVIDIA Quadro K2000M graphics card.

Thanks!

Can you try installing 088 and see if you can get the key manager to come up for that (Even if you don’t have a key). There have been some large changes to support the K series of Quadros that are only in 088. I wonder if that’s the issue you are hitting here.

You’re right, 088 worked. But my teammate has it working on our current setup, and I just wanted to test it for now and I’m not ready to commit to the cost of a commercial license.

What can I do?

What driver version are you using? You can try upgrading to the latest, but other than that you may just need to wait for the non-commercial 088 release, which is coming once we leave beta.
