I’m at the very beginning of a new project and I’m in the early planning stages.
I’m intending to use MediaPipe to capture a dancer’s movement on stage. The idea is to track the movement and then project it back onto the dancer using a gauze hung in front of them.
I haven’t yet had the chance to experiment with this setup in the actual performance space, so I’m trying to think through the technical considerations in advance. In particular, I’m wondering where the best position for the camera capture would be. If the camera were placed front-on, looking through the gauze, would the projection onto the gauze interfere with the capture process?
Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to be as prepared as possible before we begin the R&D phase.
