hi It’s my first post here,
I’m animating a jigsaw puzzle to have all the piece move in different direction and bounce on the limit of the screen as in the dvd ‘‘screensaver’’
I’ve followed a youtube tutorial for the movement called
‘’ Touchdesigner Tutorial // Recreating the bouncing DVD Logo Screensaver"
I just multiplied the LFO and moviefilein to match my number of pieces.
I would like to start with having all the pieces in place (if i make a composite of all my moviefilIn of I already have the good disposition) and after a certain delay have the pieces to start moving using the different LFO data.
thanks!
is my question unclear ?
since wednesday I used some keystrok to reset in another project but in the comp I cant find way to have a reset effect.
thank you
So I assume you have a few TOPs with your puzzle pieces, and then use several composition TOPs to translate each texture in xy using LFO values.
One option is to use a Merge CHOP to merge all your LFO outputs into one CHOP, and then feed that into a Math CHOP to multiply all their values with a 1-0 range (using the Multiply parameter). Feed output from the Math CHOP into a Null CHOP and use the channels in that Null CHOP to control your transforms.
Once the Math CHOP has made all outputs zero , that means your puzzle pieces are moved zero, so they should be at their original position.
Does that help?
Then you can add Lag CHOP / Timer CHOP / Buttons to fade in/out slowly between original position/moving around
