Turn it(realtime) off

The number of frames varies depending on turning off the real time at the top.
Does turning off real time and turning it on during the actual exhibition have anything to do with each other?
I wonder if it’s okay to turn it(realtime) off and use it.

Hi @kijhome,

realtime mode on will attempt to hold time, meaning if your installation is depending on time - for example after 28 seconds x should happen, then you would want to have realtime enabled. With realtime enabled, TouchDesigner might decide to repeat frames if the hardware cannot keep up with the selected fps.

Realtime off will render every frame no matter how long it takes. This is very useful for rendering out movies.

Why are you considering turning it off?
cheers
Markus

Sometimes, the frame of the project that canceled the real time came out higher.

I only turn it off when rendering big movies like Markus says. I can’t imagine that having it turned off would run faster than when it is on…I suggest leaving it on when you want faster frame rate fps.
