Haha, that’s awesome. Anyone brave enough to try it?
The results is questionable… The OpenGL performance gain (all according to that forum) is NONE, the features is most probably is limited to driver dependent - no working mosaic evidence for example… At least virtualization/VM kinda working on modded cards, but the last question: Is GPU affinity works? nobody knows… But I would try as soon as I will have compatible cards
According to poweruser (Gordon) reply on mentioned forum, modded Grid K2 (from GTX680) might support GPU Affinity, but was never tested. Any idea anyone? Is GPU affinity will work this way in TD? I also might have access to real Grid K1/K2 to test someday later.
Last I heard from Nvidia the Geforce level Grid boards do not support GPU Affinity. You need to go with the Quadro level ones to get GPU Affinity.
In this case this is not GeForce level board it is GridK2 board, and so the question is:
is GridK2 will do any good for TD in GPU Affinity mode?
I interested, coz I might have LIMITED acess to GridK2 board at Uni just to show my project, but I cannot use it at home for production and I can not afford it to buy, but I can afford to hack GF! Same: it is not simple even to test it in Uni, as I need to install TD… Otherwise I would test it and post info here…
I think the K1 and K2 are the Quadro level boards, while the K340 and K520 are the Geforce level ones.
