Video Card Help!

I’m an amateur DJ and I’d like to get TouchDesigner up and running on my laptop for a neat visualizer for my sets. Unfortunately, I’m receiving an error message:

The installed video card or drivers do not support all of the features that TouchDesigner needs to run.
If you have an Nvidia or ATI video card, try upgrading your video drivers. Exiting.

My laptop contains 4GB of RAM and is running Windows 7. My GPU has 1.5GB RAM. I don’t understand why it won’t run.

My question is, is there anyway to trick/bypass this error message into letting me run TouchDesigner.

Thank you in advance.

What graphics card do you have?

Did you verify that your machine meets the System Requirements as stated on the http://www.touch077.com/Downloads/ page ?

Hey, I assume you have system with Nvidia optimus. If you upgrade to the latest drivers they should have a profile that automatically selects the correct GPU for TouchDesigner. The other option is to go to the Nvidia Driver Settings and make sure that your Geforce is selected as the OpenGL Rendering GPU

It’s not an Nvidia card. It’s an Intel onboard card, but it DOES meet system requirements.

Ah sorry, Intel cards aren’t supported. The system requirements are Nvidia cards, or possibly ATI cards with the latest drivers. Intel cards do not yet have correctly functioning OpenGL drivers.

Do you know if there will ever be support for Intel cards?

I can’t say for sure, it’s up to Intel to get their drivers up to snuff. Sorry.

Don’t be sorry. It’s obviously not your fault. It’s just a shame. D:
