FIXED: Video Device In TOP Crashes TD when using certain Virtual Cameras (Snap Camera)

Hi Guys!

Can’t wait to try out the new performance improvement with the new Vulcan change. I found a major bug that causes TD to instantly crash when adding a video device in TOP when snap camera (1.19) or certain virtual webcams are selected.

This bug happens on (2022.24200). It does not crash on the older install (2021.16410).

This also happens with Spoutcam and Xsplit’s Vcam - both virtual cameras. But does not crash with OBS Virtual Cam, so it looks like specific virtual camera sources.

On Windows 10. CPU: Intel 8 Core 12th Gen. GPU: 2080ti

Same issues happens on an Intel 12th Gen Laptop with Iris Xe Integrated GPU.

Thanks for the report.

I was able to reproduce and logged an issue for a developer to look into it.

Note that for Xsplit’s Vcam, switching to the “Media Foundation” library and selecting the Vcam as your device does bypass the issue.

The hard crash is occurring with DirectShow.

Hey, I just fixed a crash related to this. Fixes will be in builds 2022.24470 and later.
