video in TOP problem

Hi all, my first post by the way

I am trying to get a video feed from a Canon 5d(hdmi 1080i) into Touch Designer though a Blackmagic Intensity shuttle connected to a usb 3.0 PCIe card on a PC running Windows 7…
I have tested the input from the BM shuttle in a capture program that came with the driver DVD, and the feed did show up. I did not have any luck with other apps with connection to directshow(vlc player or AMcap)

I really hope you can help me… im going to mix live macro video, Touch Designer and oldschool 70´s liquid light projection(big homebuild projector rigs) on a 24x6meter screen at big festival in portugal on the 18/08

The specifications for this BlackMagic card mention it is compatible with DirectShow software, so it should work! However you mention that your other DirectShow softwares do not see it either.

I would recommend searching Black Magic support/forums to find out how to configure it to work with DirectShow. Once you get it capturing with other software such as VLC using DirectShow, it should work in TouchDesigner.

Hi I have search the question about BlackMagic Intensity shuttle with TD. I saw this post has same problem with my question. Please help me to find out the solution that very appreciated.
I have been testing from Mac Book pro output image go thru “BlackMagic Intensity shuttle” into PC (Lenovo W520 with USB 3.0) notebook on TD “videoin TOP” or other software “Blackmagic Mdeia Express”. I have been testing S-vidoe and Composite cable in 800 x 600 output image from Mac thru “BlackMagic Intensity shuttle” to TD or “Blackmagic Mdeia Express”. They all showing images. But after I changed input cable to HDMI HD output from Mac thru “Intensity shuttle” into TD and “Mdeia Express”. In TD didn’t showing image but at “Mdeia Express” I can see image in display resolution on “1080p 30 Hz”, “1080 60Hz” and “720p 60Hz”.
Why does TD can see resolution 800 x 600, but it can’t see in 720p, 1080i and 1080p?
I am use TD FTE.077. Do I need have pro version that can see HD image in TD “videoin TOP”?
I really hope anyone can help fix this problem.
