Video playing in Web renderer only advances when it has focus

Hi,

As mentioned in the title I’ve been using the Web render top to play Youtube videos. Everything was working fine until I updated TD from 2018.27550 to 2019.18360. The page still loaded fine and seemed to buffer a few seconds worth of video but never played. I’ve tried this on multiple versions and it seems like it has been this way since moving from 2018 to 2019.

Windows in all cases btw.

The problem seems to be related with the CEF window having focus or not. I noticed that if I used the webBrowser example from the palette I was able to get Youtube videos playing but only as long as the cursor was moving within the playback window. As soon as I moved the cursor outside the window the video would freeze and resume once the cursor had reentered.

When adding an I-Frame with a Youtubevideo into a DAT and using a WebRenderTOP to replay it, it, sadly, does not automaticaly start the video (even when autoplay is set to 1). It will work when I open the file in a regular browser. Also, when i use the interactMouse, i can get it to play the videofile, but it just plays one or two frames and freezes. Anyone got some ideas how this could work?

That does indeed seem to be the same problem I’ve observed. For the time being I can manage by using 2018.28120 instead.
