Video to the Beat

After the intro tutorials I made this little beauty

It takes the audio output channels, multiply’s them together, multiplies that by 10, then 10 agian, then 10 again, then that CHOP effects the scaling value of the transformed video to give it the effect it is growing to the beat.

I’m quite proud of myself since when I first opened the program I was totally lost, now I think I am getting the hang of it.

Anyone know of a way to count the beats? To get like the BPM number, or to just sample the bass line of a song?

Thanks
James

If you can isolate the bass frequency, you can add a count chop to count every time it goes over a set threshold.

I remember there was a tscript command that I used in 077 to make a Tap Tempo script. I’m not sure if it’s still fully working, if you’re in 088, but it’s worth a shot and might point you in the right direction.

elburz,
I don’t believe the reset beat command in tscript prevents the tempo from dropping anymore in 088. Someone else should give it a go though
