Hey,
We have tested on Vista and the only real tip I have to share is setting up a new environment variable for vid playback.
Computer/Properties/Advanced system settings/Environment Variables
Variable: TOUCH_LIBAVCODEC
Value: 1
Not sure if this was a Vista specific thing or not…
What OS are people running?
Nah, libavcodec isn’t a OS specific. It’s a different movie reading library than the default, which is quicktime. It’s still experimental though, but it supports many more types of movies.
@ quine
XP currently, I think I’m going to jump right to Windows7 when available though.
The only thing I know about speeding up things, is make it look like xp and by that save resources. For that just change the color scheme in Vista to Windows Classic.
cheers
