Volumetric LED rig animated by OSC data from DAW, is there a way to record OSC stream and play back within TD?

For a quick bit of context. We have a 12.5m diameter spherical installation. 52 speakers, and 200+ lighting nodes wth 120 LEDs each. We’re experimenting with spatial audio works having a lighting design which tracks sound in space. Our DAW (Reaper) sends XYZ and other relevant data, volume etc. over OSC to TD, and then a number of pointfields comps are used to drive the lighting rig.

I’m actually sending OSC out from TD (rather than DMX/Artnet) as there’s a bit of software at the end of the stack which converts the OSC to Artnet. It works, but, I would really like to render a multichannel audio file, and somehow record a synced file containing all the OSC data, so rather than having Reaper playing a full project, and TD doing the same, with both multichannel audio file and OSC file I could simply hit a button in TD and send both out to our end software.

I did find a thread that discusses using a Trail CHOP, but not sure how to make that work with a tight sync to audio file, and since that was quite an old thread, I wonder if anyone might have dealt with this before and found another solution?

Not sure how helpful without the correct OSC stream in, but attached my current project setup, and link to a video of the end result is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ELBV-5eXNkGCDR8xunmRC_2F1R4fEttx/view?usp=drive_link

Hi @merijnroyaards,

have not recorded OSC for light control but did use the Record CHOP to record OSC channels coming from a user interface to allow for replay later on.
Check the OP Snippets for the Record CHOP, there especially the Auto Range Example might be what you are looking for.

cheers
