Using the TAL Reverb VST, whenever I close and open my .toe that uses it in a VST CHOP, the settings and preset are reset to default.
By contrast, the settings are remembered reliably between restarts when using the plugin in OBS.

Are VST learned parameters (or its own presets) supposed to save by default?
Learned parameters and VST state (including preset) are all saved to the toe file. The Load Plugin State on Start just controls whether the plugin will be set to the saved state on TouchDesigner load - this parameter does not affect learned parameters.
The reason we added this plugin was because a few plugins were crashing when having their state set - this allows them to still at least be loaded from a saved toe file.
Did you leave “Learn” = On by chance? I wonder if its left on then it would reset them when reloading?

Not necessarily, but I don’t think we discussed that case and obviously didn’t test it. I just imagined that would happen knowing how it works.
We’ll come up with a solution, glad toggling it off gets you around the issue for now.
