Web Browser Implementation

Hello,

I have some questions about web browsing into TD, as I heard into the MUTEK Worshop a speaker saying that they had embedded a web browser into Touch Designer, so I would have liked to have some more infos about this possibility, which would be really helpful, as well as a very cool feature.

I’d like to know what is possible or not, and what is the best way to implement a web browser, if anyone can shed some light onto it:

  • Can one actually make a browser displays into a node, and should one use for that a TOP operator template from the C++ examples?

  • Would it be possible to use an Microsoft Active X web browser control into a C++ CHOP?

  • Or, can one use for example the Chromium Embedded Framework with its python 3.2 bindings, to display into a Touch node ?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Another interesting candidate for the purpose is Awesomium:
