its all there in the Topic name !! thanx !!

Hi,

Not sure about the precise thing you are asking about.

But for what i understand, the “length” would be the number of samples of the CHOP’s channel.

You can see it by middle mouse click on a CHOP in the “start/end” section.

hi, thanks Gallo…what I’m after is what does “length” mean in the “combine chops” context dropdown in maths chop…something i never understood so never used - but it gave a result yesterday, so thought i should give it the respect to find out what it is !!

Hi. Ok i see

This math operation calculates the length (or magnitude) of a vector.

For instance, fill it with 2 values (x, y vector coordinates in 2D) or 3 values (x, y, z coordinates in 3D)

For example, the magnitude (length) for a 2D vector is the square root of x² + y²

thanks, its the sort of thing I will end up understanding through Hunch - which is obviously anti-scientific, but does slowly work out for me with these things …
