Window COMP, Opening Size set to Fill struggle updating

Hello community,

It feels like the Window COMP as an issue in Touch Designer newest build (2025.31760, free version for me).

I’m used to reference a Keyboard In on the “Open as Separate Window” parameter so I can open a full-screen borderless viewer on my 2nd monitor. It was all working fine until the last update where I had to systematically toggle the Opening Size to some random parameter and put it back in Fill mode so it works properly, otherwise the window would open in its native scale (1280*720) covering a quarter of my screen.

My current way to bypass this issue is to add a Math CHOP behind my Keyboard In, so it send a pulse toggling the Opening Size parameter from 1 to 0 and back to 1, updating the Fill mode whenever I press my full-screen keybind.

First post here for me and I’m no expert so it might just be me missing something

Hi @Mayeul_e,

welcome to the community!
can’t quite replicate the issue, could you send a minimal reproducible example?
Also please let us know your OS and hardware specs.

All the best
Markus

Yes sorry for the missing informations.
I’m on Windows 11. AMD Ryzen 5, 32Go RAM and RTX 3070.

The weird part is that any update in the Window COMP parameters seem to fix the issue

window COMP.toe (3.5 KB)

Hi @Mayeul_e,

great - your example helps. So this is happening until you change a (any) parameter on the Window COMP after opening the file.

I can reproduce and we are having a look.

cheers

I struggle to create a simple example of it, but I had multiple issues with parameter expressions seemingly not being dependent. As soon as I changed anything about the expression (add a space behind it) the expression is correctly updated.

I’ll try to set up a single example.

Hi @josefpelz,

this might be a unrelated issue.
Can you recall any other detail that might help us to reproduce?

cheers
Markus
