I have my new laptop Alienware, with the upgrade free to Windows 7.
Does Windows 7 support Touch077FTE?
Anyway I’m trying also to find the way to downgrade to XP but the drivers are not avaible on the site of Dell. I really don’t want to use Vista, what do you think about? is Vista 64bit good to work with TouchDesigner? I know that only the OS sucks like 256MB from the GPU, is it right?
I have had actually very good experiences with windows 7. I set it to performance mode and everything including the dual monitor setting worked just great.
dual mode works great!?? Whaddya mean? no need for horizontal span? 'cause win7 doesn’t have horizontal span, right? but are you suggesting we just let go and embrace dual view in win7?
would be great 'cause I think win7 accepts triple (and quad) SLI while winXP doesn’t.
Well… that is if SLI works at all, which I don’t know. Do you?
The issue with dualview on windows XP was always driver bugs. Without horizontal span it seems like Nvidia has focused on making dualview bug-free on vista/windows 7, so it works nicely on those.
So what you are saying is Dual View in windows vista/7 will have the same functionality of hor-span in XP? Can I install Touch on Vista with confidence?
I use Touch on my laptop with windows Vista 64bit and am much happier here than in windows XP. Dual view works great and I have done a handful of succesful live peformances with it.
